Deering Estate offers Mini Camp on Monday, March 31. Each camp has a different theme and explores a different aspect of nature, allowing campers will have fun while learning about different fields of science. Monday's theme is Bloom into Spring!

Join us for a lecture led by John Bailly as he guides attendees through the riveting history of Miami. There will be a short reception before the lecture from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. This event is $15 for non-members and free with online registration for Deering Estate Foundation Members.

Full Moon Yoga

Thursday, April 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

The Full Moon Yoga Series at the Deering Estate provides an opportunity to enjoy the sunset and end of the day while welcoming the full moon at one of the most beautiful settings in Palmetto Bay. You can enjoy the sunset and views of Biscayne Bay as you reinvigorate your yoga practice through a gentle flow suitable for all levels. Limited space available.

Bird Walk

Saturday, April 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Search for some of the Deering Estate’s estimated 170 resident and migratory bird species. Watch for ibises, herons, egrets and other shorebirds in and around the shallow coastal waters. Deering Estate is part of the Biscayne Bay IBA (Important Bird Area) recognized as a globally important habitat for the conservation of bird populations.

Guided Museum Tours

Join our museum staff for a Guided Museum Tour of the Richmond Cottage and Stone House at 11:30 a.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This tour showcases the Historic Houses and their architectural and cultural significance. Guests will learn about Charles Deering’s life, the Estate’s connection to South Florida’s Indigenous cultures, and its role in Miami’s history.

Daily Nature Preserve Tours

Join our naturalist staff for a hike through the Deering Estate's protected natural areas. Along the way, learn about native plants and animals and the Cutler Burial Mound. Staff-guided Nature Preserve Tours are offered once daily at 12:30 p.m. from October 1 through May 31.

These tours are free with the purchase of general admission.

All guests, including Deering Estate Foundation Members, are required to sign-up at the Main Gate before the tour begins in order to ensure their space. Space is limited.

Daily Nature Preserve Tours Join our naturalist staff for a hike through the Deering Estate's protected natural areas. Along the way, learn about native plants and animals and the Cutler Burial Mound. Staff-guided Nature Preserve Tours are offered once daily at 12:30 p.m. from October 1 through May 31. These tours are free with the purchase of general admission. All guests, including Deering Estate Foundation Members, are required to sign-up at the Main Gate before the tour begins in order to ensure their space. Space is limited.
